SHIPSHEWNA - Barbara J. Miller, 83, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017.
She was born Feb. 1, 1934, in Turlock, California, to Samuel and Iva (Schmidt) Dirks.
On March 1, 1959, she married James L. Miller; he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are daughter Cheryl (Gregory) Beachey and her family Harrison, Hannah and Leah Beachey; son Steve (Dan Carey) Miller and son Ed (Mable) Mendoza and his family AD (Rashel) Mendoza (Lucy and Bo Mendoza) and Maeven (Chris) Miller; and sister Goldie (Gordon) Horst.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Kenneth, James, Donald and Gerald Dirks.
Visitation will be from 1- 6 p.m. Sunday, March 26 and from 4 - 7 p.m. Monday, March 27, at Shore Mennonite Church.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 28 at the church.
Burial will be in Shore Cemetery.

Dennis E. Miller, 84, of LaGrange, died peacefully at his home at 4:00 pm on Monday, November 13. He was born on February 9, 1933 in Elkhart County, to David and Mollie (Miller) Miller. On October 11, 1962 in Milford he married Barbara Mast; she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are two sons, LaVern (Mary) Miller of LaGrange, Wilbur (Ruby) Miller of Goshen; daughter, Esther (Maynard) Miller of Shipshewana; 16 grandchildren, three step grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two step great-randchildren; brother, Levi (Ida) Miller of Shipshewana; sister-in-law, Ida Miller of Shipshewana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Loretta Miller; two grandchildren, Mark Alan and Marla Ann Miller; three brothers, Chris, Elmer, and Lester Miller.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 14 and all day Wednesday, November 15 at the family residence, 1480 S. 300 West, LaGrange. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Thursday, November 16, also at the family residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Richard Bontrager and the home ministers. Burial will be in Beechy Cemetery, LaGrange.

BRISTOL - Dennis L. Miller, 71, of Bristol, died at 2:05 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, at the Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart.
He was born Jan. 6, 1946, in LaGrange County, to Levi E. and Ida (Gingerich) Miller.
Survivors include a sister, Ann (Harley) Yoder of Goshen; two brothers, Willie (Marilyn) Miller of Goshen and Pete (Karen) Miller of Hillsboro, Oregon; sister-in-law, Mattie Miller of Steuben County; two nieces; five nephews; many great- and great-great nieces and nephews; and the ADEC staff and residents.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and Elmer Miller.
He lived at ADEC for 21 years.
Visitation will be from 2 -7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury.
The family will hold a private burial in Forest Grove Cemetery prior to the 11 a.m. memorial service Friday, Aug. 25, at First Mennonite Church, Middlebury.
Services will be conducted by his nephews Kent Miller and Rich Troyer.
Memorials may be given to ADEC or Center for Hospice Care.

GOSHEN - Donald Glen Miller, 78, of Goshen, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at home surrounded by his family.
He was born Oct. 2, 1938, in Filer, Idaho, to John and Lucy Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; two daughters, Karen (Sean Hassinger) Miller of Boise, Idaho and Elaine Miller of Oakland, California; son Doug (Lali Hess) Miller of Crawfordsville; five grandchildren, Levi, Isaac and Seth Hassinger and Lucy and Annie Hess; and siblings Joyce Wyse, Joan Vogt and Jim Miller.
He was the youngest of eight children and was preceded in death by sisters, Justine Nussbaum and Leta Snyder and brothers, Robert and Leo Miller.
A disinterest in hoeing sugar beets on the family farm led him to pursue a professional career.
He graduated from Goshen College in 1959 and then worked in alternative service at Boys Village in Smithville, Ohio until 1961.
He then embarked on a career as a social worker, specializing in community mental health and later as the director of two county mental health agencies in Portsmouth, Ohio and Saginaw, Michigan.
Don had a great zest for the outdoors and led his family on many camping and backpacking excursions.
An oft visited favorite was Black Joe Lane in the Wind River Range in Wyoming. There he could indulge in pastimes of fishing, campfire storytelling and singing with family.
Don was an avid tennis, chess and game player, gardener and loved organizing family reunions and get togethers with friends.
He was an active member of College Mennonite Church, committed to social justice work through his involvement in the church Jubilee fund, a community outreach and support program.
Friends may call from 3 until the 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, memorial service at College Mennonite Church.
Memorials may be given to College Mennonite Church, Mennonite Disaster Service or Jubilee Fund at College Mennonite Church.

TOPEKA - Edna Fern Miller, 74, of Topeka, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017.
She was born Jan. 17, 1943, to William D. and Susie (Yoder) Yoder.
She married Raymond P. Miller; he died Nov. 30, 2004.
Surviving are daughters Dorothy Ellen Yoder, Wilma Sue Mullet and Freda Fry; sons Freeman Lee, Orvan and Kenny Miller; 33 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; brothers William, Albert, David and Merle Yoder; sisters Polly Fry, Anna Fry, Vera Miller, Ruby Byler; and sisters-in-law, Ruby Mae Yoder and Carolyn Yoder.
She was preceded in death by a son; three grandchildren; a great granddaughter; parents; eight brothers; and five sisters.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Thursday May 18, and all day Friday May 19, at the family’s residence, 6935 West 500 South Topeka. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday May 20, at the same residence. Burial will be in Hawpatch Cemetery, Topeka.

TOPEKA - Fannie M. Miller, 84, of Topeka, died at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan.18, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 14, 1932, in LaGrange County, to Levi and Rebecca (Schrock) Bontrager.
On Dec. 8, 1955, she married LeRoy D. Miller; he died Dec. 23, 1996.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Andrew Bontrager, Mahlon Bontrager, Amos Bontrager and three great-grandchildren.
Fannie was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, and all day Friday, Jan. 20, at the Joseph Yoder residence, 4340 South 900 West, Topeka.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at the LaVern Hershberger residence, 4505 South 900 West, Topeka.
Services will be conducted by Bishop Sam Mast Jr. and the home ministers.
Burial will be in Christner Cemetery, Topeka.

KILLBUCK, Ohio - Frank D. Miller, 87, died Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, in Killbuck, where he was residing with his wife, Sue Miller.
He was born April 7, 1930, to Milferd and Florence (Kauffman) Miller in Gulfport, Mississippi, where he lived to young adulthood.
He married Miriam E. Keim, Dec. 20, 1953. They were married for 56 years and made their home in Middlebury. She preceded him in death Sept. 4, 2010.
Frank loved the out of doors and enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.
He loved auction sales and flea markets.
He was an active member of Forks Mennonite Church and the Methodist Church in Killbuck.
Frank is survived by his wife, Sue, and three children, Annette(Mike) Neff of Goshen, Mike (Marcia) Miller of Middlebury and Brian(Kim) Miller of Middlebury; eight grandchildren, Brooke Minor, Brad Neff, Elyse Ostrega, Bryce Miller, Andrew Miller, Amber Delcamp, Adam Miller and Arthur Miller; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sue Williams of Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Dwight, Mark, Willis and Ben and two sisters, Edna and Elsie.
There will be an informal visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. with a memorial service at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Middlebury Community Church of the Nazarene (former Forks Mennonite Church location), 11435 W 025 S. Middlebury.

GOSHEN - Irma A. Miller, 78, of Goshen, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017.
She was born Aug. 28, 1939, to Alvin and Mary Ann (Miller) Yoder.
She married Raymond D. Miller; he survives.
Survivors also are daughters Charlene (Tom) Smith and Ella (Jon) Haldeman; sons Stanley (Audrey) and Gerald (Chris) Miller; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Catherine Schrock, Mary Graber, Phyllis Yoder and Wilma Graber; and five brothers, Wilbur, Perry, Levi, Vernon and Olen Yoder.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant sons; two great-grandchildren; and three brothers
Visitation will be from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30 and 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, at Maple Grove Church, Topeka.
There will be one hour of visitation prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Dec. 2, also at Maple Grove Church.
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Topeka.

WHITE PIGEON, Mich. - Jacob “Jake” Miller, 79, of White Pigeon, died Thursday, Feb. 9.
He was born July 18, 1937, to Joe and Amanda (Hershberger) Miller.
On July 9, 1960, he married Dorothy Hostetler and she survives.
Survivors also are two daughters, Debbie (Rick) Markiewicz and Dawn Hopwood; son Bruce (Gloria) Miller; 10 grandchildren; four great-granddaughters; and brother Sam Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mike Miller; three sisters, Annie Miller, Katie Lambright and Ida Miller; and three brothers, Elmer, Jonas and Joe Miller.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, and from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury.

He was born on July 21, 2011, in Topeka to Perry and Carolyn (Bontrager) Miller.
Surviving in addition to his parents are two sisters, Carrie Miller and Carla Miller; three brothers, Seth Miller, Stanley Miller and Davey Miller all at home; two sets of grandparents, Wilbur and Edna Bontrager of Topeka and Howard and Lillian Miller of Goshen.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, at the Clayton Schrock residence, 62935 CR 37 Goshen. SHIPSHEWANA - James K. Miller, 87, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017.
He was born on Sept. 8, 1930, in LaGrange County, to Orva J. and Sarah Ellen (Troyer) Miller.
Also surviving are three daughters; Beth (Craig) Helman, Jean (Robert) Dickens, Joy (Curt) Crago, a son, Neil (Jasmina) Miller, two step-daughters; Cheryl (Ken) Marks, Carla (Kent) Mishler, three step-sons; Brent (Angie) Hochstetler, Brian (Brenda) Hochstetler and Brad (Julie) Hochstetler, eleven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one sister, Marilyn Frain and a brother, Alfred (Rosie) Miller.
Sister Romaine Hostetler, and brothers Richard Miller, Samuel Miller, Paul Miller and Larry Miller all proceeded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at Shore Church at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25. The Rev. Carl Horner will officiate. Burial will take place in Miller Cemetery, Shipshewana.
A visitation will be held from 2 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at the Shore Church.

Miller, John Henry, 94, of Stuarts Draft, VA died September 18, 2017 at the same place. He was born June 15, 1923 at to Joseph C. and Barbara (Kreider) Miller. On October 7, 1944 he was married to Anna E. Witmer, who was born July 8 1923 and survives.
Surviving are children, David; John & Mary Lynn; Daniel & Tricia; Rhoda; Martha & Dale Swartzentruber; Paul & Kimberly; and Timothy & Lisa; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Miriam & Donald Hershey.
A son, Mark and siblings, Anna Miller; Joseph C. Miller, Jr.; half-sister Florence Smith; half-brothers Norman, Robert & Claude Miller preceded him in death.

GOSHEN - Kenneth Devon Miller, 89, of Goshen, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017, at Courtyard Healthcare Center after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
He was born Feb. 15, 1928, to Irwin and Mildred (Yoder) Miller, in Shipshewana, where he grew up on the family farm.
He married Bertha P. Neufeld on June 7, 1952. They were married for 64 years. She preceded him in death Sept. 28, 2016.
Ken was a graduate of Goshen College and Indiana University School of Medicine.
He was a family practice doctor and served the Woodburn community for 40 years.
He was an active member of Maplewood Mennonite Church in Fort Wayne for many years.
After he retired, Ken and Bertha moved to Goshen where he became an active member of Silverwood Mennonite Church.
Ken enjoyed sports, especially running, golf and basketball.
He passed down his love of Indiana basketball to his children and grandchildren. He was often dressed in IU gear at Courtyard.
Ken is survived by his five children, Berry (Robin) Miller of Angola, Phil (Judy) Miller of Atlanta, Georgia, Becky (Jonathan) Nussbaum of Union, Michigan, Bonnie (Mike) Gingrich of Elkhart and Gordon (Tonya) Miller of Leo; 16 grandchildren, Matthew Miller, Kristi Murphy, Andrew Miller, Zach Miller, Allison Kizziar, Josh Miller, Katelyn Nussbaum, Erin Beeker, Olivia Burkholder, Amy Kreider, Ryan Gingrich, Jacob Gingrich, Lauren Gingrich, Kienan Miller, Kiana Miller and Korban Miller; 12 great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Waneta Miller, Betty (Vernon) Roth, Jim Miller, Sue Byler, and Joan Buerge.
Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by brothers Ernest Miller and Richard Miller.
Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.
A celebration service of Ken’s life will be at North Goshen Mennonite Church, 501 N. 8th St, Goshen, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, with viewing one hour prior.
Cremation will follow the service.
Memorials may be given to Mennonite Disaster Service.
The family would especially like to thank the Courtyard staff for their love and care for “Doc” for the past six years.

LIGONIER - Linda Mae Miller, age 57, of Ligonier, Indiana, passed away at home on Saturday morning, May 6, 2017, at 1:50 a.m. following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on July 23, 1959, in LaGrange, Indiana, the daughter of Melvin Lee and Mary Ellen (Bontrager) Mullet and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. On May 29, 1980, she married Ernest Lee Miller; he survives.
Also surviving are their children, Loretta Jean Miller at home, Dale Devon (Barbara) Miller of Millersburg, Indiana, Lavern Dean Miller, David Wayne (Kristine) Miller of Topeka, Indiana, Lonnie Gene Miller, Daryl Lee (Connie) Miller, Gerald Ray (Sharon) Miller, and Waneta Fern (Luke) Miller and Allen Jay Miller, all of New Paris, Indiana, along with Susie Ellen Miller and Robert Lyn Miller, both at home; seven granddaughters; three grandsons; her mother, Mary Ellen Mullett of Topeka, Indiana; seven sisters, Eva (Perry) Yoder of Shipshewana, Indiana, Waneta Mullett of Millersburg, Indiana, Kathryn (Glen) Lehman of Shipshewana, Indiana, Lorene (Vernon) Miller of Ligonier, Indiana, Amanda Mullett of Shipshewana, Indiana, and Ida Mullett of Topeka, Indiana; five brothers, Larry (Rose) Mullett of Wolcottville, Indiana, Melvin Jr. (Dorene) Mullett of Millersburg, Indiana, Alvin (Esther) Mullett of Shipshewana, Indiana, Dennis (Esther) Mullett of Sturgis, Michigan, and Lonnie (Amy) Mullett of Topeka, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Nola Jean Lehman.
A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at the family residence, 1410 West Union Street, Ligonier, IN 46767. Bishop Marlin Fry and the home ministers will officiate. Pallbearers are Lamar Miller, Glen Miller, Mark Kaufman, Kenny Yoder, Richard Hochstetler and Homer Miller. Burial will take place at Southside Cemetery in Ligonier, Indiana.

LAGRANGE - Lydia Mae Miller, 92, died on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017.
She was born on Feb. 13, 1925, in Topeka to Joseph and Barbara (Hochstetler) Lambright.
Surviving are five sons, Daniel (Inez) Miller, Raymond (Christina) Miller, Joe Miller. Ernest (Erma) Miller, Ervin (Nettie) Miller; three daughters, Barbara Frey, Mary (Freeman) Bontrager, Clara (Elvie) Frey; four great great grandchildren; son-in-law, Andy Kurtz; two sisters, Sarah Jane Yoder, Katie (Bob) Biggs; brother, Ernest William (Clair) Lambright.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 3, and all day Monday, Sept. 4, at the family’s residence, 3550 West 400 South LaGrange.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5, at the same residence.
Services will be conducted by Bishop LeRoy Troyer and the home ministers.
Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, LaGrange.

Miller, Malinda J. Miller
September 1, 1950 - August 23, 2017
ORRVILLE — Malinda J. Miller, 66, of Orrville, went home to be with Jesus surrounded by her family on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017. Her faith carried her through an 18-month battle with cancer. Malinda was born near Fredericksburg on Sept. 1, 1950, to the late Joe and Amanda (Yoder) Miller and married Henry Miller on May 22, 1976. They recently celebrated 41 years together.
Malinda never met a stranger. She loved talking to people and making new friends. She was a family oriented person and loved pulling the family together for lunch and games. Her hobbies included reading and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and was the sticky glue that held the family together.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Henry, are her children, Japheth (Karen) Miller of Smithville, Mary (Franklin) Geiser of North Lawrence, Rhoda (Michael) Mast of Apple Creek, Javan (Kayla) Miller of Orrville, Hannah (John) Vezie of Navarre, Jalon, James and Rita Miller of Orrville; grandchildren, Andrew, Braden and Charlotte Mast, Kaitlyn and Kylie Geiser, Paislie Miller, Kailynn and Kendall Miller, Kaden and Baby Vezie (due November); siblings, Anna (Paul) Hostetler of Dalton, Willis Miller of Brewster, Cindy (Floyd) Mullet of Sugarcreek, John and Paul Miller of Fredericksburg, Robert (Peggy) of Beach City, and Ruth (Phillip) Brazis of Burbank. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Miller; and a granddaughter, Andreya Miller.
A service to celebrate Malinda's life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at East Union Mennonite Church, 10678 E. Old Lincoln Way, Orrville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. or one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling arrangements.
Miller, Mary Elizabeth Beechy

STURGIS, Mich. - Mary Elizabeth Beechy Miller, 91, of Sturgis, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017.
She was born, in LaGrange County, Indiana, to William and Amanda (Schrock) Beechy on Oct. 6, 1925.
Amanda died in 1929 and William married Nora Bontrager March 1930.
Mary married John E. Miller on Feb. 13, 1945, in Lagrange County. John died in November 2002.
Mary is survived by four sons, Wyman Miller, Mervin (Marcia) Miller, Bill (Linda) Miller of Sturgis and Marvin (Nancy) Miller of Jones, Michigan.
She is survived by three daughters, Margaret (Bill) Clemens of Goshen, Marilyn (Fred) Schwartz and Amanda (Joe) Yoder of Sturgis, Michigan.
Also, surviving are 14 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren who referred to their beloved grandmother and great-grandmother as Grandma Miller, Grandma Mary or “Miller”.
She is survived by three sisters, Katherine (Ora) Weirich of Goshen, Alice (Menno) Yoder of Shipshewana, and Amanda Miller of Chouteau, Oklahoma and one brother Elva Beechy of Millersburg.
Also surviving is a sister–in–law Jackie Beechy Mazzoni from Matteson, Illinois. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; one sister, Anna (Amzie) Miller of Wolcottville, Indiana, four brothers, Ammon (Ida) Beechy of Shipshewana, Vernon Beechy, of Sturgis, Ray (Georgia) Beechy of Reeding, Michigan and Bill Beechy, Oak Forest, Illinois; and one grandson, Mark Miller of Centreville.
Mary was employed by Centreville Schools as dietician from 1962 to 1973.
She was employed by Sturgis Public Schools as vocational food instructor from 1974 to 1987. While employed with Sturgis Schools she was a leader in developing the programs for Senior Center and GAPS.
Previously, Mary worked at Sturgis Hospital and as cook at Amigo Centre.
She was a life member of Mintdale Women’s Club and Locust Grove Mennonite Church in Burr Oak, Michigan.
Visitation is at Locust Grove Church from 2-7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5.
A funeral service is scheduled at Locust Grove Mennonite Church at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, with visitation from 2-3 p.m.

Miller, Mose M., age 69, of Nappanee, died at 2:50 pm, Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Elkhart General Hospital after a 6 month illness. He was born August 28, 1948 in Berlin, OH to Milo M. and Amanda M. (Hochstetler) Miller.
As a child Mose moved to Nappanee with his family. On March 20, 1969, he married Etta Marie Miller in Nappanee. He was a factory worker and for the last 13 years, he and his wife served meals to others in their home. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving is his wife, Etta; children, Leona (Ray A.) Hochstetler, Daniel (Judy) Miller, Arlene Borkholder, all of Nappanee, Ruby (Thomas) Borkholder, Bremen, David Miller, Arizona; 21 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Christner, New Paris, Mary Miller, Waburton, CO; brothers, Harley M. (Liz) Miller, Levi M. (Katie) Miller, both of Nappanee; and sister-in-law, Katie Miller, Nappanee. He was preceded in death by his parents, a stillborn son, Roman Miller; son-in-law, Lavon Borkholder; grandson, Timothy Borkholder, Brothers, Lloyd Miller, Roman Miler and brother-in-law, Sam Christner.
Family and friends may call after 2 Thursday, Nov. 23rd and all day, Friday, Nov. 24th at the family residence (24425 CR 54). Salem - Orvan Jacob Miller passed away on January 6 at the age of 86. He was born July 27, 1930 in Hartville, Ohio to Emanuel and Barbara (Hochstetler) Miller.
Orvan moved to Oregon in 1945 and married Dolores Smith in Sheridan on August 2, 1953. He had worked for sawmills and plywood mills before his career as a custodian for Salem Public Schools. In retirement Orvan worked for Boys and Girls Club for many years and was a volunteer "Reading Buddy" at Highland Elementary School. He was a member of Salem Mennonite Church and enjoyed staying busy with projects around the house.
Orvan is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Al and Roy, and sister Alma Larrew. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dolores of Salem, children Debra Kauffman (Brent) of Lebanon, Harold Miller (Paula) of Salem and Daniel Miller, also of Salem; grandchildren Adrienne Kume (Eric), Alison Kauffman, Anthony Miller, Matthew Miller, Amanda Miller, Justin Miller, Tiffany Miller, Christian Miller and Sarah Miller; seven great-grandchildren; brother Jim Miller of Colorado, sisters Betty McJunkin of Kansas and Dorothy Good of Sublimity and various nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service. Miller, Owen Eugene, 84, of Kalona, Washington Co., Iowa died June 5, 2017 at Iowa City, Johnson Co., Iowa. He was born September 16, 1932 at Kalona to Paris and Lydia (Briskey) Miller. On September 9, 1956 at Kalona he was married to Ruby Bender, who survives.
Surviving are children, Deb (Dean) Kaefring, Oxford, IA; Larry Miller, North Liberty, IA; and Sandy (Doug) Owens, Oxford, IA; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and siblings, Anna Peiffer, Alma Hershberger, Charles "Chip" (Karen) Miller, Sally (John L) Hershberger, and Marilyn (Derald) Bender.

NAPPANEE - Paul H. Miller, 62, of Nappanee, died at 3:18 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017, at his residence after a nine month illness.
He was born May 5, 1955, in Goshen, to Harold N. and Malinda Burkholder Miller.
Mr. Miller lived his lifetime in the Goshen/Nappanee area.
He attended Fairfield High School.
On Jan. 24, 1976, he married Susan E. Graber, in Nappanee, at Fairview Church. She preceded him in death Sept. 24, 2004.
Mr. Miller was the owner of Paul’s Welding since 1979.
He was a member of Sandy Ridge Mennonite Church.
Surviving are his children, Velinda Miller of Elkhart, Debra (Marcus) Miller of Nappanee, Danae (Seth) Peachey of Bremen, Ryan (Janette) Miller, Darren (Michelle) Miller and Kyle Miller, all of Nappanee; grandchildren Grace, Bryan, Hailey, Dawson, Carson, Brock, Brooklyn, Kate, Allison, Peyton, Avery, Amelia, and two more grandchildren on the way; mother Malinda Miller of Carrier Mills, Illinois; brother Mark (Betty) Miller of Carrier Mills; sisters Lea Ann (John) Borntrager of Sebree, Kentucky and Sara Jean (Joe) Borntrager of Liberty, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his father and wife.

He was born Aug. 24, 1926, to Joni P. and Gertie (Schrock) Miller.
On Dec. 16, 1948, he married Ida Lehman; she died Jan. 9, 2012.
Surviving are daughters Fern (Tony) Miller and Mary (Earl) Bontrager; sons Olen (Christine), Otis (Karen), Glen (Rose), Albert (Carolyn) and LaVern (Wilma) Miller; 25 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; sisters Clara Schoflied, Betty Esh, Jane (Ellis) Miller.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; four brothers; three sisters; and two great-grandchildren.

Miller, Richard L., 91, of Engadine, Mackinac County, Michigan died August 14, 2017 at the same place. He was born January 15, 1926 at Shipshewana, LaGrange County, IN to Irwin J., 1895-1976 and Mildred (Yoder) Miller, 1899-1977. On June 19, 1954 at Engadine he was married to Lois A. Troyer, who was born June 22, 1931 and died March 22, 2011.
Surviving are children, Alan (Kelly) of Waterloo, WI, Roderick (Melanie) of Uniontown, OH, Wendell (Debra) of Engadine, Christine (Steve) Yoder of Bellefontaine, OH, Jonathan (Diane) of Engadine, Rachel (Steve) Nolt of Lancaster, PA and Leighton of Engadine; 17 grandchildren, and siblings, Waneta Miller of LaGrange, IN; Kenneth Miller of Goshen, IN; Betty (Vernon) Roth of Breslau, ON; James Miller of Shipshewana, IN; Sue Byler of Goshen, IN; and Joann Buerge of Indianapolis, IN.
A son, David D. Miller (1956 - 1977) and a brother, Ernest Miller of Shipshewana, IN; preceded him in death.
He was a 1944 graduate of Shipshewana High School. In 1949 he served in the inaugural Mennonite Voluntary Service unit, in Los Angeles, California. He was employed by Engadine Feed and Supply for many years and developed Richlo Dairy Farm with his family. He was an active member of Wildwood Mennonite Church where he served in many capacities including elder and Sunday school teacher.

BOURBON - Verna Miller, 93, of Bourbon, died at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, March 19, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her family, after a short illness.
Verna was born June 4, 1923, to Reuben and Fannie (Farmwald) Yoder in Nappanee. She was a lifetime area resident.
On July 19, 1942, she married Irvin D. Miller in Nappanee. He preceded her in death June 16, 1990.
She was a faithful pastor’s wife, homemaker and a farmer’s wife. Mrs. Miller was a member of Clay Street Mennonite Church in Bourbon.
Surviving are her children, Janice Ruth Miller, Norman Jay Miller, John Derwin (Esther) Miller, Galen Lyle (Becky) Miller, Lynn Howard Miller, all of Bourbon, Nancy Lee(Andy) Hostetler of Etna Green, Michael Peter Miller of Warsaw; 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Laura Mast, Ada Chupp, Elizabeth Stoltzfus, Alma Slabaugh, Melvin Yoder, Katie Hershberger, Mary Blucker and Inez Stutzman.

Mininger, Charles N., 85, of Souderton, Montgomery Co., PA died August 8, 2017 at the same place. He was born October 24, 1931 at Telford, Montgomery Co., PA to Charles B. and Eva N.(Nice) Mininger. On February 3, 1951 he was married to Arlene Stover, who was born March 13, 1931 and survives.
Surviving are a son, Jay Mininger and his wife Kelly, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a brother, Earl Mininger and wife Betty, and a sister, Lois Donaldson.

LAGRANGE - John Wesley Mishler, 72, of LaGrange, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, in Catoosa, Oklahoma.
John was born Nov. 6, 1945, to Merrill and Helen (Miller) Mishler.
He was a 1964, graduate of Bethany Christian High School in Goshen.
He married Mary McDowell. She survives.
Also surviving are his sons, Robert, Richard and Ronald Mishler; four grandsons; sisters Ruth Basinger, Rose Miller and Retha Filhart; and a brother-in-law Jim McDowell.
A visitation will be from 2 – 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at Shore Church, Shipshewana.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, at the Shore Church.

Dec. 30, 1925 - May 13, 2017
GOSHEN - Stanley E. Mishler, 91, was welcomed into heaven by his Lord and Savior, Saturday morning, May 13, 2017 at Goshen Hospital.
He will be dearly missed by his family and a host of friends to whom he left a legacy of love and faithful service to his Lord.
Stanley was born Dec. 30, 1925, near Topeka to Howard and Violetta (Yoder) Mishler. He graduated from Shipshewana High School in 1944.
On April 6, 1947, he married Norma F. Yoder at Forks Mennonite Church, Middlebury. They celebrated 66 years of marriage before her death in 2013.
He is survived by a son, Michael (Rhonda) Mishler, Rockwall, Texas; daughters, Ulonda (Winford) Jones, LaGrange, Jan (Dale) Schrock, Goshen, and Nellie (Byron) Mishler Hooley of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Sowers and a sister, Mary Etta Shrock.
Stanley lived most of his life in Emma where he milked cows for 43 years and retired from grain farming in 2006 after 59 years. Stanley and Norma moved to Greencroft Communities in Goshen in 2007.
He was an avid antique collector and was well known in the auction circuit as the “Mayor of Emma”. He was a member of the Michiana Farm Toy Club and the Shipshewana Historical Society.
He also worked at Sturgis Foundry; Emma Feed Mill; drove school bus for Westview School Corporation; and drove employee vans for Riegsecker Hardwoods.
Stanley was a member of the Emma Mennonite Church where he served as Young Peoples Moderator and sang in the men’s chorus. He also enjoyed singing with the Gospel Messengers for 46 years.
Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Emma Mennonite Church, and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, funeral at the church. Rev. Gene Hartman will officiate. Burial will follow at Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana.

SHIPSHEWANA - Wilber O. Mishler, 92, of Shipshewana, died Wednesday, Jan. 11.
He was born Oct. 10, 1924, to George and Celestia (Miller) Mishler.
He married Ellen Schrock; she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are daughters Dena Marie (Bob) Roush and Denise (Glen) Nation; son Douglas (Phyllis) Mishler; stepsons James Eugene, Byron Dee (Kay), Myron Lee (Pam) and Gary Lyn (Lisa) Miller; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Debra Kvernvik; sister Marie Bontrager; brother Glen Mishler; one great-grandson and a granddaughter-in-law.

Moyer, Anna "Anne" Marie, 80, of Lansdale, PA died September 4, 2017 at the same place. She was born January 23, 1937 to Dwight and Elizabeth (Yothers) Moyer.
Surviving are siblings, Ruth and Lawrence Swartley; and brother-in-law, Russell Gehman.
A brother, David Y. Moyer; and a sister, Mary E. Gehman preceded her in death.

Anna "Anne" Marie Moyer

Anna Marie "Anne" Moyer, 80, of Lansdale, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017 at Lansdale Care & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Hilltown Twp., Pennsylvania to the late Dwight Moyer and the late Elizabeth (Yothers) Moyer.
Anne graduated from Pennridge High School, class of 1955. She then attended Eastern Mennonite College in Harrisonburg, VA for 2 years.
Anne taught kindergarten in various private schools and later worked as a nurse’s aide in private residences. From 1977-1979, she worked as a nurse’s aide at Frederick Mennonite Home. Anne worked as a sales clerk for Bause Drug Store in Boyertown, PA for 4 years. From 1984-1993, she worked as a dietary aide in the kitchen at Dock Terrace in Lansdale.
Anne was a lifelong member of Blooming Glen Mennonite Church where she served as a former Summer Bible school teacher and a former Sunday school teacher.
She loved music. Anne sang in music ensembles, loved to sing and enjoyed listening to music. She also enjoyed needlepoint, jigsaw puzzles, collecting jokes and poetry.
Anne was a very jovial, caring, compassionate and considerate lady. She had a good sense of humor, enjoyed people and loved to help others.
Anne is survived by a sister, Ruth M. Swartley & husband, Lawrence of Hatfield, PA; a brother-in-law, Russell Gehman of Souderton, PA; eight nieces and nephews – Dennis Gehman & wife, Glenda of Telford, PA, Dawn Lantz & husband, Herb of Canadensis, PA, David Gehman & wife, Joanne of Bechtelsville, PA, Donna Gehman of Telford, PA, Donald Swartley & wife, Sandy of Wysox, PA, Sharon Landes & husband, Ron of Silverdale, PA, Thomas Swartley & wife, Mimi of Canadensis, PA & Michael Swartley & wife, Jill of Friendsville, PA; many great-nieces and great-nephews and many great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Moyer, Gloria Jean Rush, 64, of Telford, Montgomery Co., PA died September 16, 2017 at the same place. She was born February 13, 1953 at Sellersville, Montgomery Co., PA to Paul W. and Elizabeth (Detweiler) Rush. On September 20, 1975 she was married to Harlan Brent Moyer, who was born March 31, 1952 and survives.

Moyer, Mary H., 81, of Harleysville, PA died November 10, 2017 at Franconia Township, Montgomery Co., PA. She was born September 26, 1936 at Telford, PA to Edwin B. and Susan D. (Hackman) Moyer.
Surviving are two brothers and their wives, Earl and Elaine Moyer, and Clyde and Linda Moyer.
A sister, Christine H. Moyer, preceded her in death.

Mary H. Moyer, 81, of Harleysville, formerly of Telford, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017 in the Peter Becker Community in Franconia Twp.
Born in Telford, she was a daughter of the late Edwin B. and Susan D. (Hackman) Moyer. Her education included a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Education from Eastern Mennonite University in 1961, and a Master’s Degree from Temple University in Education, specializing in Corrective Reading in 1967.
Mary taught first grade at the Peace Valley School for six years. During 1967 and 1968, she was in charge of the entire reading program at Paul W. Kutz School. She taught at Temple Laboratory School in Cheltenham, specializing in reading for one year. From 1976-1985, she was a bookkeeper at Clemens’ Markets in Lansdale. From 1993 until 2005, she worked as a receptionist for Landis’ Markets in Telford.
Mary was a member of Blooming Glen Mennonite Church from 1969 to the time of her death. She taught Sunday School to the junior highers, and was the co-cordinator of that department for some years. She was in charge of the pre-service prayer time for six years. She sang in the church choir and was active in the Crusader’s Sunday School class. In her earlier years, she attended Franconia Mennonite Church, where she was baptized in her early teens. She taught a Sunday School class of teenage girls. She also served as a volunteer at Grand View Hospital, and at the Care and Share Shops in Souderton.
Mary loved singing. She sang in the chorus and sextet for the Life With God radio broadcast. She also sang in the Franconia chorus directed by Hiram Hershey. She participated in the chorus when they sang the Elijah at the Academy of Music. During the summer in the 1960’s, she yearly attended music camp at Laurelville Mennonite Camp in Laurelville, PA.
She is survived by two brothers: Earl Moyer and his wife Elaine of Telford, Clyde Moyer and his wife Linda of Telford, three nieces and three nephews, seven great nieces and seven great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Christine H. Moyer who died in 1995.
Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of the Peter Becker Community, 800 Maple Ave., Harleysville. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Mennonite Mission Network, P O Box 370, Elkhart, IN 46515-0370. Arrangements are by the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home in Telford.
Mumaw, Alpha Mae Ramer

WAKARUSA - Alpha Mae Mumaw, 82, of Wakarusa, died at 9:53 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa, where she had been a resident for four years.
She was born Sept. 6, 1934, in Wakarusa, to Clifford and Mildred (Wagner) Ramer.
Alpha Mae lived her lifetime in Wakarusa.
She attended Wakarusa High School.
On July 1, 1956, she married Harold E. Mumaw in Goshen. He preceded her in death Nov. 27, 2001.
Mrs. Mumaw was a member of Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, where she attended the Bridge Builders Sunday school class. She was a member of Sharing Citizens and the Civic Club in Wakarusa and was a past grand marshal of the Wakarusa Maple Syrup Festival parade.
Alpha Mae was a homemaker and had been a bus driver for WaNee Community Schools for 37 years. She had worked at Goshen Hospital in her early working years.
Surviving are her children, Roxane Ouimet of Wakarusa, Ron (Stacey) Mumaw of Heston, Kan., and Don (Paula) Mumaw of Dunlap; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; siblings Nyla (Steve) Kauffman of Middlebury, Dale (Grace) Ramer of Goshen, Marilyn (Willi) Miller of Goshen and Dennis (Martha) Ramer of Wakarusa.
She was preceded in death by a son, Scott Mumaw; daughter Elaine Mumaw; sisters Phyllis Garber and Rosemary Martin; and brother Gerald Ramer.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home in Wakarusa and for one hour prior to the funeral service, which will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church.
Pastors Wes Bontrager and Emily Hochstetler will officiate.
Burial will be in Yellow Creek Mennonite Church Cemetery.

SARASOTA, Fla. - Walter J. Mumaw, 95, of Sarasota and Middlebury, born Dec. 10, 1921 and grew up in Wooster, Ohio, passed away at 10:55 a.m. Feb. 8, 2017, in Sarasota.
Walter was a graduate of Wooster High School, attended Goshen College, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in science and the arts.
Walter was a beloved, creative teacher and taught elementary school for 46 years in several school systems in Elkhart County. He also played and coached softball, football and baseball.
He served with the Civilian Peace Service in Dover, Delaware.
He was a longtime member of Southside Fellowship in Elkhart. He served many years on the board of a local adoption agency. He loved the great outdoors and was very knowledgeable of nature. He had an extensive rock and gem collection that he donated to the Amigo Center in Sturgis, Michigan, where he was a board member and taught outdoor education classes.
Walter married Helen Good in 1953 and she survives with sons Paul (Lisa) of Ohio and Clark of Sarasota and Middlebury. A grandson, Ben and granddaughter Mary Beth survive as well.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Adam and Clara, sons Luke and Klem and brothers Harvey and Floyd.
A memorial service will be at Southside Fellowship in the Chapel of the Sermon on the Mount on the campus of AMBS, 3003 Benham Ave., Elkhart, at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13. The services will be officiated by Pastor David Moser.
Musser, Clayton G., 101, of Narvon, entered into rest at his home on June 5, 2017, after a brief illness.
Born in Bowmansville, he was the son of the late Joseph and Salome (Gehman) Musser. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle (Weinhold) Musser in March, 2009. They had been married 63 years.
Clayton is survived by one son, Fred, married to Tracey (Stauffer) Musser of Bowmansville; two grandchildren, Michael Musser married to Hope, of Bowmansville, and Amanda (Musser) married to Al Janaszek of Lancaster; four great-grandchildren, Emma Louise of Bowmansville, Mason Stanley Musser of Bowmansville, Evan Joseph Janaszek of Lancaster, and one on the way; one brother, Elmer Musser of Ephrata; two sisters, Elsie (Musser Bowman) Burkhart of Florida, and Eleanor (Musser) Hibshman of Narvon.
Preceding him in death are six brothers, William, Charles, Allen, John, Harvey and Victor; and a sister, Anna Mary Musser.
He was a member of the Ephrata Bible Fellowship Church, Ephrata. He grew up going to the Pine Grove Church in Bowmansville with his family.
Clayton lived in the Bowmansville area all his life except for the years 1963 to 1967 when they lived in Melbourne, FL.
He was drafted into the U.S. Army in June 1942. He served with the Army for three years in Northern Africa and was part of the Casablanca Invasion in 1942. He loved to tell many heart-felt stories about his time serving in WWII.
Clayton worked as a meat butcher. He owned and operated "Musser Meats" stand at Kissinger Market in Reading. He was employed by John Martin Meats, Ephrata from 1967 until his retirement. He enjoyed carving wood and made many pitchforks as well as small carved chains and various other small implements.
A funeral service honoring Clayton's life will be held on Friday, June 9 at 11 AM at the Pine Grove Church, 1194 Reading Road, Bowmansville, PA. Interment will be held at the adjoining cemetery. Musser, Ida O. Sensenig Martin, 75, of Kleinfeltersville, entered into rest peacefully on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at home, after an 18 mo. battle with cancer. She was the wife of Leroy S. Musser. Her first husband, Cloyd K. Martin died in March 1992.
Ida was born in Ephrata Twp., Lancaster County on December 9, 1941. She was a daughter of the late Ezra B. and Anna Oberholtzer Sensenig.
A beloved wife and mother, Ida loved spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Springville Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference).

GOSHEN - Marvin S. Musser, 80, passed away early Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at Elkhart Hospice House.
He was born March 26, 1936, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to Noah and Ethel (Gassman) Musser.
On June 29, 1962, he married Lore Buck in Stuttgart, Germany. She died May 16, 2002.
Mr. Musser is survived by a daughter, Karen (Kenton) Miller, Goshen; a son, Hans (Rebecca) Musser, Vandalia, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Richard L. (Dorcus) Musser, Alice, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
A longtime Goshen resident, Mr. Musser was a manager of the former Provident Book Store in Goshen. He also worked at Metzler Shoes in Nappanee and as a shuttle driver for Goshen Hospital.
He was a member of College Mennonite Church.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 2, in the Koinonia Room at College Mennonite Church.
A 10:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 3, memorial service will be held at College Mennonite Church.
A private family burial will take place at Violett Cemetery.

Myers, John Y., 76, of Blooming Glen, PA died June 25, 2017 at Souderton Mennonite Homes. He was born January 16, 1941 at Sellersville, PA to Walter H. and Edna B. (Young) Myers. On September 16, 1961 he was married to Darlene (Moyer) Myers, who was born April 29, 1943 and survives.
Surviving are children, Michael and Debbie Myers; and Jon and Jolene Hammer; four grandchildren, and siblings, Paul and Marian Myers; David and Pam Myers; Samuel and Francine Myers; Walter Jr. and Patti Myers; Rich and Ruth Ann Davis; James and Lois Blosser; and a brother-in-law, James and Dorothea Alderfer.

GOSHEN - Myrtle Molly Myers, 99, of Goshen, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, at Greencroft Healthcare, following a period of declining health.
She was born Oct. 3, 1917, in Manson, Iowa, to Dan H. and Lena (Egli) Miller.
In 1936, she, with her family, moved to Crawford County, Pennsylvania, where she lived until 2000 when she moved to Goshen.
She married Willis D. Myers in 1941.
She was a charter member of Sunnyside Mennonite Church, Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania.
Shortly before moving to Indiana, she attended High Street Community Church, Conneaut Lake.
She was a faithful wife, devoted mother and grandmother and an avid quilter.
She was a willing worker in the church fellowships she belonged to, having taught Sunday school and Bible school and participating in women’s ministries.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn (Ben) Raber of Quarryville, Pennsylvania and Dorie (Cliff) Hochstedler of Goshen; four sons, Dr. James Myers of Charlotte, Michigan, Russell (Lenora) Myers of Cochranton, Pennsylvania, W. Robert (Cyndi) Myers of Milton, Florida and Dr. Lyle (Christine) Myers of Savannah, Georgia; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alice Oswald of Kettering, Ohio.
Along with her parents and husband of 57 years, she was preceded in death by nine siblings, Maude (George) Shetler, Joseph D. (Esther) Miller, Kate (Albert) Birky, Jess (Ada) Miller, Goldie (Harold) Oyer, Orval (Marjorie) Miller, Silda (Harvey) Birkey, Sanford (Theresa 1st, Frances 2nd) Miller and Pearl (Delmar) Oswald.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 22 one hour prior to the 4 p.m. funeral service at the Meetinghouse at Greencroft, Goshen.
A private burial will take place at Sunnyside Mennonite Cemetery, Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania.

Myers, Pearl Long, 93, of Souderton, PA died March 8, 2017. She was born October 5, 1923 at to Ervin and Lizzie Etta (Weller) Long. On April 4, 1942 she was married to Emerson Myers, who died September 25, 2006.
Surviving are a son, Philip Dean Myers (Lorene Pringle); three grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Lizzietta Overpeck, Gladys Long and Susan Detweiler.
A sister, Emma Allebach and a brother, Warren Long preceded her in death.
